Narrative:

We were cleared by center direct to okk. We mistakenly entered oxi instead. When 9 mi southwest of okk, we were asked our heading and if we were going to okk. We said yes, still not realizing our error. Center then gave us a right turn and then cleared us to intercept the OKK1 STAR northwest of okk. The similarity between oxi and okk identifiers was a contributing factor in our mistakenly entering the oxi identify instead of the okk identify in the CDU.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED BY CTR DIRECT TO OKK. WE MISTAKENLY ENTERED OXI INSTEAD. WHEN 9 MI SW OF OKK, WE WERE ASKED OUR HDG AND IF WE WERE GOING TO OKK. WE SAID YES, STILL NOT REALIZING OUR ERROR.
