Narrative:

On the gilmore arrival into memphis at the 8 mi fix, when landing north, you have a turn to 175 degrees. We missed it. The traffic was heavy with rain showers and turbulence. While in a 2 man aircraft workload was very heavy. The approach plate details were very small. I just missed it. Approach control let me go to the 3 mi fix before informing me I missed the turn. I feel the approach plate could be made better and less cluttered.
