Narrative:
The landing on runway 23 was a crosswind (220 degrees at 15 KTS) landing with a student pilot (private instrument sel) in the left seat and I, the instructor, in the right seat. Upon touchdown, the student did not take out the right rudder correction, so as the nosewheel touched down, the aircraft veered right. The student corrected by applying too much left brake (we then veered left), I was yelling for him to get off the brakes (there are only brakes on the left, student's side). Instead of leaving the brakes alone, he then stepped hard on the right brake. I tried to counter his braking actions with rudder pedals throughout the incident but the rudders had no affect against the brakes. After the second turn to the right, he let off of everything, I pulled the throttles making sure they were at idle and tried to steer us clear of obstacles through the grass on the right of the runway. During our excursion through the grass, we struck c-z taxiway light destroying the light and damaging our right leading edge and tip.

Title: MULTI ENG TRAINING FLT GOES OFF THE SIDE OF RWY DURING XWIND LNDG.
Narrative: THE LNDG ON RWY 23 WAS A XWIND (220 DEGS AT 15 KTS) LNDG WITH A STUDENT PLT (PVT INSTRUMENT SEL) IN THE L SEAT AND I, THE INSTRUCTOR, IN THE R SEAT.
