Narrative:

At 37000 ft, 139000 pounds both engines N1 retarded to 70 percent, airspeed fell to 7-15 KTS in alpha protection alpha floor did not activate. Power then went to climb power and when airspeed recovered, we went to manual throttles. Wrote logbook entry as such. Later found that first officer's flight management guidance computer had a fault shown on centralized fault display system which caused the condition. Cockpit resource management worked well during incident.
