Narrative:

On apr/xx/95, while on an IFR clearance with patrick approach, we were cleared for the NDB geiger lake approach runway 18 at space executive airport, titusville, fl. At published altitude of 1500 ft inbound on the 350 degree magnetic bearing from geiger lake, an aircraft passed over our airplane, estimated 200 ft above, opposite direction, appeared to be a beechcraft B58, baron twin. Taking the controls from my student, I made a steep 60 degree bank to the right and down away from the approaching aircraft. An inquiry was made with the controller, which his response was that he had not seen the airplane on his scope, because we were out of his radar range.
