Narrative:
On rollout, the gear collapsed. The airplane slid to the left, hit the #3 marker, turned 90 degrees and cleared the runway. A propjet and single engine airplane landed after this mishap. Suggest gear box malfunction or pilot. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that he still did not know what caused the gear to collapse, it was a mechanical malfunction or himself in erring to properly assure the gear down and locked! He said that he had started flying many yrs ago and used an aircraft in his work as a sales representative. He stated that he did put the gear down before landing and that a touch and go was not planned or started. He just does not know what went wrong.
