Narrative:
While flying STAR to iad (jasen 1), as we approached 40 DME off aml (259 degree radial) VOR we commenced a left turn to join ldn 206 degree radial, as published. Controller queried if we were assigned jasen 1 STAR. We replied affirmative. He asked again. We again replied affirmative. Controller then gave a vector for sequencing into iad. No explanation was given as to the controller's query, we were in compliance with the STAR to the best of our knowledge.
