Unfamiliar to local area. Turned final to iah by error. Should have joined final to similarly parallel runways at hull field. Corrective: advised by ATC (hull tower) to turn to a suggested heading, toward hull (sternly). Despite cavu- WX, being locally unfamiliar, should have depended on GPS more. Despite previous approach clearance into class B, as necessary, should have been more vigilant to proximity with iah intercontinental airport.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA SEL INADVERTENTLY LINED UP FOR LNDG TO THE WRONG ARPT RWY RESULTING IN PENETRATION OF ARPT TFC AREA.

Narrative: UNFAMILIAR TO LCL AREA. TURNED FINAL TO IAH BY ERROR. SHOULD HAVE JOINED FINAL TO SIMILARLY PARALLEL RWYS AT HULL FIELD. CORRECTIVE: ADVISED BY ATC (HULL TWR) TO TURN TO A SUGGESTED HDG, TOWARD HULL (STERNLY). DESPITE CAVU- WX, BEING LOCALLY UNFAMILIAR, SHOULD HAVE DEPENDED ON GPS MORE. DESPITE PREVIOUS APCH CLRNC INTO CLASS B, AS NECESSARY, SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE VIGILANT TO PROX WITH IAH INTERCONTINENTAL ARPT.
