Narrative:
I flew our aircraft to ames, ia, to take aerial video footage. A NOTAM restr operations of aircraft to above 1500 ft AGL and to 1 1/2 mi horizontally. I flew our aircraft, staying at least 1500 ft AGL. I was unsure what ground point to add 1500 ft to, to comply with the NOTAM. Publishing the NOTAM in MSL, not AGL, would prevent unknowing violations of such airspace.
