Narrative:
As I was returning from a general practice flight from flabob to el monte, I was unable to obtain a green down and locked indication for the landing gear on my 1956 cessna 310. After initiating all emergency gear extension operations and several low passes so the tower could advise on gear position, I landed the plane. The right main gear collapsed on the last 50-75 ft rollout at less than 40 mph. Minor damage to wingtip tank (scuffed) and right engine propeller strike. The right landing gear door was damaged also. Aircraft total time, 4650 hours with annual inspection completed mar/xx/95. FAA tower personnel (controller) very very professional in handling situation during and after incident. Aircraft removed from runway with excellent help from airport staff. As of this date (may/tue/95) awaiting inspection by FAA and ia mechanic to determine mechanical cause of failure.
