Narrative:
Reported to operations for duty. Went to aircraft and reported to first officer that I would do 'outside' inspection. Inside, completed left seat tasks and checks. Went back into operations and signed release and obtained latest WX for flight. Went to aircraft and helped first officer with chart analysis for takeoff. Completed originating checklist, took off for destination. Upon arrival, first officer discovered that we had no flight bag on board with aircraft manuals. Determined that cleaning team, at previous overnight, had taken flight bag off of the aircraft and left it in operations. This incident's main cause was due to the fact that a complete inspection of aircraft's interior/equipment did not take place, as to pubs required onboard. Our resultant action(south) was to make the situation right -- immediately -- by alerting company and stopping further flight until we received another set of pubs.

Title: FLC OF AN MDT FAILED TO HAVE THE ACFT FLT MANUALS ABOARD FOR FLT.
Narrative: RPTED TO OPS FOR DUTY. WENT TO ACFT AND RPTED TO FO THAT I WOULD DO 'OUTSIDE' INSPECTION. INSIDE, COMPLETED L SEAT TASKS AND CHKS. WENT BACK INTO OPS AND SIGNED RELEASE AND OBTAINED LATEST WX FOR FLT. WENT TO ACFT AND HELPED FO WITH CHART ANALYSIS FOR TKOF. COMPLETED ORIGINATING CHKLIST, TOOK OFF FOR DEST. UPON ARR, FO DISCOVERED THAT WE HAD NO FLT BAG ON BOARD WITH ACFT MANUALS. DETERMINED THAT CLEANING TEAM, AT PREVIOUS OVERNIGHT, HAD TAKEN FLT BAG OFF OF THE ACFT AND LEFT IT IN OPS. THIS INCIDENT'S MAIN CAUSE WAS DUE TO THE FACT THAT A COMPLETE INSPECTION OF ACFT'S INTERIOR/EQUIP DID NOT TAKE PLACE, AS TO PUBS REQUIRED ONBOARD. OUR RESULTANT ACTION(S) WAS TO MAKE THE SIT RIGHT -- IMMEDIATELY -- BY ALERTING COMPANY AND STOPPING FURTHER FLT UNTIL WE RECEIVED ANOTHER SET OF PUBS.
