Narrative:
On may/mon/95 picked up dornier 328 at maintenance hangar for crew taxi to passenger gate. Forgot to accomplish deice check as required by airworthiness directive and to enter accomplishment of check in maintenance log. Attention to maintenance log was distracted by: previous write-up concerning on board sensors. Maintenance deferred item which required special crew procedures which required referencing flight manual to comply with said procedures. 'Deicing check' is not listed on originating checklist. Checklist states 'logs and manuals -- check' in my mind I had checked the log (reference a and B). But I neglected to enter in writing that deice check was accomplished. Performance of first flight of the day system checks. 'Rushed' atmosphere of getting to gate on time.
