Narrative:
At cruise altitude of 37000 ft the #3 engine low oil pressure/filter bypass light illuminated. Checklist procedures were followed which led us to shutting down the #3 engine. We requested a descent to 25000 ft and informed ATC of our intention to shut down the #3 engine. At this time we were about 180 mi west of mci. The WX was excellent at mci with 25000 ft scattered and light winds. The crew discussed our options and decided to proceed to our destination of mci. We received a clearance direct to mci. No emergency was declared. Maintenance removed the filter and found it to be clogged. A new filter was installed and the engine was run up. The new filter was removed and checked. It was found to be ok. Another filter was installed. We proceeded to our final destination with no further problems.

Title: 1 OF 3 ENGS SHUT DOWN AND THE CREW ELECTED TO LAND AT THEIR DEST ARPT. CLOGGED OIL FILTER.
Narrative: AT CRUISE ALT OF 37000 FT THE #3 ENG LOW OIL PRESSURE/FILTER BYPASS LIGHT ILLUMINATED. CHKLIST PROCS WERE FOLLOWED WHICH LED US TO SHUTTING DOWN THE #3 ENG. WE REQUESTED A DSCNT TO 25000 FT AND INFORMED ATC OF OUR INTENTION TO SHUT DOWN THE #3 ENG. AT THIS TIME WE WERE ABOUT 180 MI W OF MCI. THE WX WAS EXCELLENT AT MCI WITH 25000 FT SCATTERED AND LIGHT WINDS. THE CREW DISCUSSED OUR OPTIONS AND DECIDED TO PROCEED TO OUR DEST OF MCI. WE RECEIVED A CLRNC DIRECT TO MCI. NO EMER WAS DECLARED. MAINT REMOVED THE FILTER AND FOUND IT TO BE CLOGGED. A NEW FILTER WAS INSTALLED AND THE ENG WAS RUN UP. THE NEW FILTER WAS REMOVED AND CHKED. IT WAS FOUND TO BE OK. ANOTHER FILTER WAS INSTALLED. WE PROCEEDED TO OUR FINAL DEST WITH NO FURTHER PROBS.
