Narrative:
I was PIC in C152, following C172 with other pilot in a formation of 2 on a VFR flight from lbb to T67. During taxi from parking, was stopped from ground controller because he was still obtaining clearance, I didn't move in the while. Also, during taxi, C172 crossed the hold line of active, I was holding short. After takeoff the tower told us to continue straight on runway course. I did, the C172 started a left turn but the controller immediately stopped him and made him continue on the exact heading. My runway heading was not affected by this because there was enough space to continue straight until the C172 went back on course. The reason for this report is because the lead plane was in several violations with ATC, but it didn't affect my flight at all as I followed.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN UNAUTH RWY ENTRY IS FOLLOWED UP BY A HDG TRACK DEV AFTER TKOF BY A PVT PLT. A DOUBLE NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC INSTRUCTION. ALL INFRACTIONS WERE COMMITTED BY ACFT Y DURING FORMATION FLT WITH RPTING ACFT X.
Narrative: I WAS PIC IN C152, FOLLOWING C172 WITH OTHER PLT IN A FORMATION OF 2 ON A VFR FLT FROM LBB TO T67. DURING TAXI FROM PARKING, WAS STOPPED FROM GND CTLR BECAUSE HE WAS STILL OBTAINING CLRNC, I DIDN'T MOVE IN THE WHILE. ALSO, DURING TAXI, C172 CROSSED THE HOLD LINE OF ACTIVE, I WAS HOLDING SHORT. AFTER TKOF THE TWR TOLD US TO CONTINUE STRAIGHT ON RWY COURSE. I DID, THE C172 STARTED A L TURN BUT THE CTLR IMMEDIATELY STOPPED HIM AND MADE HIM CONTINUE ON THE EXACT HDG. MY RWY HDG WAS NOT AFFECTED BY THIS BECAUSE THERE WAS ENOUGH SPACE TO CONTINUE STRAIGHT UNTIL THE C172 WENT BACK ON COURSE. THE REASON FOR THIS RPT IS BECAUSE THE LEAD PLANE WAS IN SEVERAL VIOLATIONS WITH ATC, BUT IT DIDN'T AFFECT MY FLT AT ALL AS I FOLLOWED.
