Narrative:

Our company provides approach plates for only 1 pilot. We always keep plates on copilot's side. This is further reinforced by our training facility. We missed a turn to intercept thermal 263 degree radial at 14 DME. Copilot did not set up his HSI and did not inform me of the turn. His first priority should be to navigation. All flcs should have approach plates at each crew station.
