Narrative:
We were taxiing in to park at the jfk GA terminal. As far as we could tell the ramp area was uncontrolled. There are no signs that say contact anyone, nor is there any information in the airport facility directory, the government approach plates or the NOTAMS, as to contacting anyone other than the unicom frequency 122.95. They did not give us any taxi/parking instructions on the unicom frequency and there was no ramp person out there to park us until after we pulled up to park, in front of the building. (It was our first time to this parking area.) we parked in a normal manner approximately 100 ft from the terminal building. There were no signs, no yellow T's painted on the ground, etc. After we parked a port authority/authorized guy came out in a truck and had us move further from the building. He seemed upset. We complied and parked probably 200 ft from the building this time. We went inside and the guy behind the counter (black male, 40-50 yrs old, dark glasses, 6 ft tall) said that we were not supposed to park so close to the building. He also said that we were ok though and that we were not in trouble. He did mention that the management people on the second floor of the terminal building were upset that we parked close.

Title: RAMP OP ACFT PARKING PROC. THIS CPR PLT HAD DIFFICULTY PARKING AT THE GA RAMP AT JFK.
Narrative: WE WERE TAXIING IN TO PARK AT THE JFK GA TERMINAL. AS FAR AS WE COULD TELL THE RAMP AREA WAS UNCTLED. THERE ARE NO SIGNS THAT SAY CONTACT ANYONE, NOR IS THERE ANY INFO IN THE ARPT FACILITY DIRECTORY, THE GOV APCH PLATES OR THE NOTAMS, AS TO CONTACTING ANYONE OTHER THAN THE UNICOM FREQ 122.95. THEY DID NOT GIVE US ANY TAXI/PARKING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE UNICOM FREQ AND THERE WAS NO RAMP PERSON OUT THERE TO PARK US UNTIL AFTER WE PULLED UP TO PARK, IN FRONT OF THE BUILDING. (IT WAS OUR FIRST TIME TO THIS PARKING AREA.) WE PARKED IN A NORMAL MANNER APPROX 100 FT FROM THE TERMINAL BUILDING. THERE WERE NO SIGNS, NO YELLOW T'S PAINTED ON THE GND, ETC. AFTER WE PARKED A PORT AUTH GUY CAME OUT IN A TRUCK AND HAD US MOVE FURTHER FROM THE BUILDING. HE DID MENTION THAT THE MGMNT PEOPLE ON THE SECOND FLOOR OF THE TERMINAL BUILDING WERE UPSET THAT WE PARKED CLOSE.
