Narrative:
Cruising VFR at 2700 ft MSL, easterly from worcester to marshfield, ma. Norwood, ma, is located approximately 25 mi southwest of boston, in boston class B airspace with ceiling at 7000 ft MSL and floor at 4000 ft MSL. Approximately 7 mi southwest of norwood I called norwood tower for clearance through their airspace. Norwood informed me that instead, I was in boston approach's airspace and had to call them for transit clearance if above 2500 ft MSL. I descended to 1900 ft MSL and was cleared by norwood through their space. I then called NAS south weymouth tower for transit clearance and was told that boston approach also controled what was indicated on the sectional to be south weymouth's airspace. I was cleared through weymouth's airspace and continued the flight uneventfully. The current sectional for boston shows that boston approach does not control any of the airspace I transited. I suggest that no such changes be made without notification of pilots who are flying VFR.

Title: SECTIONAL CHART FOR BOSTON DOES NOT DEPICT PROPER CTL FACILITY FOR AIRSPACE.
Narrative: CRUISING VFR AT 2700 FT MSL, EASTERLY FROM WORCESTER TO MARSHFIELD, MA. NORWOOD, MA, IS LOCATED APPROX 25 MI SW OF BOSTON, IN BOSTON CLASS B AIRSPACE WITH CEILING AT 7000 FT MSL AND FLOOR AT 4000 FT MSL. APPROX 7 MI SW OF NORWOOD I CALLED NORWOOD TWR FOR CLRNC THROUGH THEIR AIRSPACE. NORWOOD INFORMED ME THAT INSTEAD, I WAS IN BOSTON APCH'S AIRSPACE AND HAD TO CALL THEM FOR TRANSIT CLRNC IF ABOVE 2500 FT MSL. I DSNDED TO 1900 FT MSL AND WAS CLRED BY NORWOOD THROUGH THEIR SPACE. I THEN CALLED NAS S WEYMOUTH TWR FOR TRANSIT CLRNC AND WAS TOLD THAT BOSTON APCH ALSO CTLED WHAT WAS INDICATED ON THE SECTIONAL TO BE S WEYMOUTH'S AIRSPACE. I WAS CLRED THROUGH WEYMOUTH'S AIRSPACE AND CONTINUED THE FLT UNEVENTFULLY. THE CURRENT SECTIONAL FOR BOSTON SHOWS THAT BOSTON APCH DOES NOT CTL ANY OF THE AIRSPACE I TRANSITED. I SUGGEST THAT NO SUCH CHANGES BE MADE WITHOUT NOTIFICATION OF PLTS WHO ARE FLYING VFR.
