Narrative:
After an uneventful landing, the aircraft was on rollout for a full stop. Flaps had been retracted, aircraft was in a 3 point attitude approximately 35 mph, landing to the south. North half of 3300 ft paved strip is new, south half is in disrepair with a seam, much like a speed bump, dividing the 2. As the aircraft crossed the seam, the nose of the aircraft ballooned and the main gear left the runway. Aircraft yawed left, full right rudder and brake were applied. No response as wheel was off runway and tail was ineffective. When main gear returned to the runway, the aircraft skidded left and departed the runway, 'ground loop.' minor damage to aircraft and no injury. 'Incident.' primary resign for runway departure was poor runway condition.

Title: PLT OF AN SMA EXPERIMENTAL TAIL WHEEL TYPE GND LOOPED OFF THE SIDE OF AN UNIMPROVED PVT ARPT RWY CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE ACFT AND NO INJURIES.
Narrative: AFTER AN UNEVENTFUL LNDG, THE ACFT WAS ON ROLLOUT FOR A FULL STOP. FLAPS HAD BEEN RETRACTED, ACFT WAS IN A 3 POINT ATTITUDE APPROX 35 MPH, LNDG TO THE S. N HALF OF 3300 FT PAVED STRIP IS NEW, S HALF IS IN DISREPAIR WITH A SEAM, MUCH LIKE A SPD BUMP, DIVIDING THE 2. AS THE ACFT CROSSED THE SEAM, THE NOSE OF THE ACFT BALLOONED AND THE MAIN GEAR LEFT THE RWY. ACFT YAWED L, FULL R RUDDER AND BRAKE WERE APPLIED. NO RESPONSE AS WHEEL WAS OFF RWY AND TAIL WAS INEFFECTIVE. WHEN MAIN GEAR RETURNED TO THE RWY, THE ACFT SKIDDED L AND DEPARTED THE RWY, 'GND LOOP.' MINOR DAMAGE TO ACFT AND NO INJURY. 'INCIDENT.' PRIMARY RESIGN FOR RWY DEP WAS POOR RWY CONDITION.
