Narrative:
Outside sakki turning to a heading of 230 degrees to intercept localizer course of lda DME runway 26. Told to descend to 6000 ft by approach. In the turn, saw a dc-9 converging at about our altitude. Took evasive action by climbing to 7000 ft. The dc-9 turned left away from us. It appears other aircraft was being controled by another controller.

Narrative: OUTSIDE SAKKI TURNING TO A HDG OF 230 DEGS TO INTERCEPT LOC COURSE OF LDA DME RWY 26. TOLD TO DSND TO 6000 FT BY APCH. IN THE TURN, SAW A DC-9 CONVERGING AT ABOUT OUR ALT. TOOK EVASIVE ACTION BY CLBING TO 7000 FT. THE DC-9 TURNED L AWAY FROM US. IT APPEARS OTHER ACFT WAS BEING CTLED BY ANOTHER CTLR.
