Narrative:
We were busy diverting to pit. Our clearance was direct mgw, V-469 nesto, pit. The first officer was flying. I was giving an extended PA to the passenger concerning the diversion and how they would be taken care of in pit. As I hung up the PA, ZOB asked us if we were going to intercept V-469 (mgw 015 degree radial) as we had missed the turn (station passage) and were on the mgw 350/14. We quickly corrected back. If 1 pilot is out of the loop, the remaining crew must take extra precaution and pay even more attention to flying the aircraft. The pilot out of the loop should pay as much attention to situational awareness as possible. We were minimum fuel (declared) after a lot of WX, holding, option figuring, etc, and finally in the clear with the divert field made (time to relax?), but you don't relax until you're off the airplane.

Title: NAV ERROR BY FLC. DIVERTING DUE TO LOW FUEL SIT.
Narrative: WE WERE BUSY DIVERTING TO PIT. OUR CLRNC WAS DIRECT MGW, V-469 NESTO, PIT. THE FO WAS FLYING. I WAS GIVING AN EXTENDED PA TO THE PAX CONCERNING THE DIVERSION AND HOW THEY WOULD BE TAKEN CARE OF IN PIT. AS I HUNG UP THE PA, ZOB ASKED US IF WE WERE GOING TO INTERCEPT V-469 (MGW 015 DEG RADIAL) AS WE HAD MISSED THE TURN (STATION PASSAGE) AND WERE ON THE MGW 350/14. WE QUICKLY CORRECTED BACK. IF 1 PLT IS OUT OF THE LOOP, THE REMAINING CREW MUST TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTION AND PAY EVEN MORE ATTN TO FLYING THE ACFT. THE PLT OUT OF THE LOOP SHOULD PAY AS MUCH ATTN TO SITUATIONAL AWARENESS AS POSSIBLE. WE WERE MINIMUM FUEL (DECLARED) AFTER A LOT OF WX, HOLDING, OPTION FIGURING, ETC, AND FINALLY IN THE CLR WITH THE DIVERT FIELD MADE (TIME TO RELAX?), BUT YOU DON'T RELAX UNTIL YOU'RE OFF THE AIRPLANE.
