Narrative:

The problem arose during a ramp check given by the FAA, mr X and mr Y. The location was at the tpa south ramp. I was unloading cargo when approached. While going over the required paperwork, they noticed that the temporary registration was not signed and dated on the very bottom. At this point they told me I was operating with an invalid registration. I had determined that I had all the required paper work but I did not notice that the registration was not signed. I didn't realize that it is the responsibility of the PIC to see that all the paper work is filled out correctly. I know it had the registration, but no signature? I missed it. The aircraft in use was a C210. The registration was temporary because the aircraft had changed operators.
