Narrative:
Upon landing shortly after nosewheel touchdown, airplane began to turn hard to the left. Right rudder was applied to counteract the turning of airplane. Rudder had no effect on steering of airplane, and airplane continued to turn left into grass where subsequent damage of airplane was incurred. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter states he did not follow up with the FBO to determine what damage occurred. He has since taken a 609 ride and completed it successfully and is continuing to fly.
