Narrative:
We were climbing through 10000 ft direct to dnv, ATC told us VFR traffic 11 O'clock and 12 NM at 10500 ft. Traffic was not in sight but he claimed we were in sight. At 10200 ft and 5 NM, we received a TA. At 10400 ft and 3 NM we received an RA to descend. We informed ATC and they acknowledged. We descended 400 ft and TCASII told us we were clear of conflict. We told ATC we were clear and resumed our climb.
