Narrative:
Ran out of fuel and landed on private property. (Gravel road.) navigation error extended leg of trip, WX not a factor. Departure without incident. Prior leg of trip flown at lower power setting produced lower fuel burn, higher power setting in 2ND leg not accounted into gph calculation, causing fuel starvation. Basic fuel management required for correction.

Narrative: RAN OUT OF FUEL AND LANDED ON PVT PROPERTY. (GRAVEL ROAD.) NAV ERROR EXTENDED LEG OF TRIP, WX NOT A FACTOR. DEP WITHOUT INCIDENT. PRIOR LEG OF TRIP FLOWN AT LOWER PWR SETTING PRODUCED LOWER FUEL BURN, HIGHER PWR SETTING IN 2ND LEG NOT ACCOUNTED INTO GPH CALCULATION, CAUSING FUEL STARVATION. BASIC FUEL MGMNT REQUIRED FOR CORRECTION.
