Narrative:
While en route from N57 to phd our navigation equipment failed and radio communication failed. At this time we came across a large airport. We could see a tower, however it appeared there was no one in it. We circled tower but received no signal light, then we decided to land. Upon landing we discovered the airport was hagerstown, md. Using our hand held radio we called ground control on 121.9. At this time we received a red light, so we held our position. Shortly, a vehicle from the airport arrived and escorted us over to the flight line. We were advised to call the tower and we did. Radios failed due to electrical problem.
