Narrative:

Approaching LOM, ILS runway 23 at buf. Lowered gear and right main landing gear did not extend (received light/gear horn) recycled gear, same indication. Flyby, tower advised gear (right main landing gear) in the wheel well, climbed to 4000 ft. Approach sent us to buf VOR. Performed emergency/abnormal checklist. Manual unlock of right main landing gear accomplished, completed remaining checklists. On final, tower also advised right main landing gear down. Normal landing. FAA showed up 2 hours later. Passenger and flight attendants were kept advised of our status as time permitted. Also, company was advised that we had a main landing gear problem. Fire trucks, ambulance, etc were rolled and followed aircraft to gate.

Narrative: APCHING LOM, ILS RWY 23 AT BUF. LOWERED GEAR AND R MAIN LNDG GEAR DID NOT EXTEND (RECEIVED LIGHT/GEAR HORN) RECYCLED GEAR, SAME INDICATION. FLYBY, TWR ADVISED GEAR (R MAIN LNDG GEAR) IN THE WHEEL WELL, CLBED TO 4000 FT. APCH SENT US TO BUF VOR. PERFORMED EMER/ABNORMAL CHKLIST. MANUAL UNLOCK OF R MAIN LNDG GEAR ACCOMPLISHED, COMPLETED REMAINING CHKLISTS. ON FINAL, TWR ALSO ADVISED R MAIN LNDG GEAR DOWN. NORMAL LNDG. FAA SHOWED UP 2 HRS LATER. PAX AND FLT ATTENDANTS WERE KEPT ADVISED OF OUR STATUS AS TIME PERMITTED. ALSO, COMPANY WAS ADVISED THAT WE HAD A MAIN LNDG GEAR PROB. FIRE TRUCKS, AMBULANCE, ETC WERE ROLLED AND FOLLOWED ACFT TO GATE.
