Narrative:
First takeoff at dusk from this airport, lots of reflection on inside of cockpit glass (too bright), parking lot lights, etc, plus my turn lights are too concentrated on a small area, little peripheral lighting. I requested an intersection takeoff from 10000 ft runway, leaving me around 5000-6000 ft of runway. Earlier in day I had taken off from full length where there was only 1 taxiway. At the intersection there are 2 txwys, one high speed nearest runway and the one I was on. There was little activity at this time, only one landing aircraft that apparently moved onto the high speed taxiway, before reaching my intersection, while I was doing my run-up. I saw him exit what I thought was the runway, contacted tower and received clearance for takeoff runway 26L. I followed the yellow line onto what I thought was the runway, noticed the white lights to my left, they seemed a little far but this was supposed to be a 150 ft wide runway, so I thought I was just a little to the right of centerline. Blue taxi lights were not apparent to me because of all the reflections and not quite dark time of day, facing west, at dusk, I could still sense the pavement so direction was no problem. At lift off I saw what I had done. There were no other aircraft in the air or moving on the ground at this time.

Title: TXWY TKOF IN A DUSK NIGHT OP.
Narrative: FIRST TKOF AT DUSK FROM THIS ARPT, LOTS OF REFLECTION ON INSIDE OF COCKPIT GLASS (TOO BRIGHT), PARKING LOT LIGHTS, ETC, PLUS MY TURN LIGHTS ARE TOO CONCENTRATED ON A SMALL AREA, LITTLE PERIPHERAL LIGHTING. I REQUESTED AN INTXN TKOF FROM 10000 FT RWY, LEAVING ME AROUND 5000-6000 FT OF RWY. EARLIER IN DAY I HAD TAKEN OFF FROM FULL LENGTH WHERE THERE WAS ONLY 1 TXWY. AT THE INTXN THERE ARE 2 TXWYS, ONE HIGH SPD NEAREST RWY AND THE ONE I WAS ON. THERE WAS LITTLE ACTIVITY AT THIS TIME, ONLY ONE LNDG ACFT THAT APPARENTLY MOVED ONTO THE HIGH SPD TXWY, BEFORE REACHING MY INTXN, WHILE I WAS DOING MY RUN-UP. I SAW HIM EXIT WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE RWY, CONTACTED TWR AND RECEIVED CLRNC FOR TKOF RWY 26L. I FOLLOWED THE YELLOW LINE ONTO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS THE RWY, NOTICED THE WHITE LIGHTS TO MY L, THEY SEEMED A LITTLE FAR BUT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 150 FT WIDE RWY, SO I THOUGHT I WAS JUST A LITTLE TO THE R OF CTRLINE. BLUE TAXI LIGHTS WERE NOT APPARENT TO ME BECAUSE OF ALL THE REFLECTIONS AND NOT QUITE DARK TIME OF DAY, FACING W, AT DUSK, I COULD STILL SENSE THE PAVEMENT SO DIRECTION WAS NO PROB. AT LIFT OFF I SAW WHAT I HAD DONE. THERE WERE NO OTHER ACFT IN THE AIR OR MOVING ON THE GND AT THIS TIME.
