Narrative:
On a flight from burbank to ontario, I inadvertently landed at ontario airport without a landing clearance. While en route to ontario using VFR flight following, we were handed off to a controller on frequency 125.5 (socal approach). This controller was hard to hear and understand without turning the volume on the radio full up. My copilot could not understand him at all. As we approached ont, I reported to approach control that the airport was in sight (approximately 10 mi west). We were instructed to make a straight-in to runway 8R. This was the last transmission we heard from approach. I made our approach and landed on runway 8R, rolled to the end of the runway and exited. As I was about to request taxi to parking, I noticed that the radio was still on approach frequency (125.5). I immediately contacted the tower and apologized. The tower just said to taxi to parking.

Title: FLC OF AN ATX CARGO TWIN LANDED WITHOUT CLRNC.
Narrative: ON A FLT FROM BURBANK TO ONTARIO, I INADVERTENTLY LANDED AT ONTARIO ARPT WITHOUT A LNDG CLRNC. WHILE ENRTE TO ONTARIO USING VFR FLT FOLLOWING, WE WERE HANDED OFF TO A CTLR ON FREQ 125.5 (SOCAL APCH). THIS CTLR WAS HARD TO HEAR AND UNDERSTAND WITHOUT TURNING THE VOLUME ON THE RADIO FULL UP. MY COPLT COULD NOT UNDERSTAND HIM AT ALL. AS WE APCHED ONT, I RPTED TO APCH CTL THAT THE ARPT WAS IN SIGHT (APPROX 10 MI W). WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO MAKE A STRAIGHT-IN TO RWY 8R. THIS WAS THE LAST XMISSION WE HEARD FROM APCH. I MADE OUR APCH AND LANDED ON RWY 8R, ROLLED TO THE END OF THE RWY AND EXITED. AS I WAS ABOUT TO REQUEST TAXI TO PARKING, I NOTICED THAT THE RADIO WAS STILL ON APCH FREQ (125.5). I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE TWR AND APOLOGIZED. THE TWR JUST SAID TO TAXI TO PARKING.
