Narrative:
We were descending through 14500 ft. Our position was approximately 45 mi northwest of the paso robles VOR. At our 12 O'clock position, I noticed a military jet, at 14500 ft. I increased our rate of descent to miss the jet by approximately 500 ft. After passing the jet, I asked oakland if he was aware of the traffic? He said he had not been painting any traffic, however he was now painting traffic at our 6 O'clock and a mi at 14500 ft. I explained to center that we had come very close to an aircraft opposite direction and that it looked to be a military jet. He said it was one of the team planes doing an airshow near monterey. I went on to say, it wasn't what we considered to be a near miss, but it was an uncontrolled situation, and that I was concerned that the jet pilot was not talking to him.

Title: AN ACR PLT FELT UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE PRESENCE OF A MIL FIGHTER.
Narrative: WE WERE DSNDING THROUGH 14500 FT. OUR POS WAS APPROX 45 MI NW OF THE PASO ROBLES VOR. AT OUR 12 O'CLOCK POS, I NOTICED A MIL JET, AT 14500 FT. I INCREASED OUR RATE OF DSCNT TO MISS THE JET BY APPROX 500 FT. AFTER PASSING THE JET, I ASKED OAKLAND IF HE WAS AWARE OF THE TFC? HE SAID HE HAD NOT BEEN PAINTING ANY TFC, HOWEVER HE WAS NOW PAINTING TFC AT OUR 6 O'CLOCK AND A MI AT 14500 FT. I EXPLAINED TO CTR THAT WE HAD COME VERY CLOSE TO AN ACFT OPPOSITE DIRECTION AND THAT IT LOOKED TO BE A MIL JET. HE SAID IT WAS ONE OF THE TEAM PLANES DOING AN AIRSHOW NEAR MONTEREY. I WENT ON TO SAY, IT WASN'T WHAT WE CONSIDERED TO BE A NEAR MISS, BUT IT WAS AN UNCTLED SIT, AND THAT I WAS CONCERNED THAT THE JET PLT WAS NOT TALKING TO HIM.
