Narrative:
Descent below class B airspace on approach to runway 27R. At phl we were cleared for a visual about 14 mi out. Shortly after clearing us for the visual approach asked us to expedite to 2000 ft. The first officer was flying and he complied by selecting level change. I began checking my 10-1T chart but by the time I found it we were close to the floor of the class B airspace. We had gone through it about a half mi outside the next ring. I am concerned by this not only because it put the aircraft in unprotected airspace but also required I divert my attention from traffic watch at a critical time. In the future I will not accept a clearance to expedite descent while in class B airspace.

Title: UNAUTH EXITING OF CLASS B AIRSPACE ON VISUAL APCH.
Narrative: DSCNT BELOW CLASS B AIRSPACE ON APCH TO RWY 27R. AT PHL WE WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL ABOUT 14 MI OUT. SHORTLY AFTER CLRING US FOR THE VISUAL APCH ASKED US TO EXPEDITE TO 2000 FT. THE FO WAS FLYING AND HE COMPLIED BY SELECTING LEVEL CHANGE. I BEGAN CHKING MY 10-1T CHART BUT BY THE TIME I FOUND IT WE WERE CLOSE TO THE FLOOR OF THE CLASS B AIRSPACE. WE HAD GONE THROUGH IT ABOUT A HALF MI OUTSIDE THE NEXT RING. I AM CONCERNED BY THIS NOT ONLY BECAUSE IT PUT THE ACFT IN UNPROTECTED AIRSPACE BUT ALSO REQUIRED I DIVERT MY ATTN FROM TFC WATCH AT A CRITICAL TIME. IN THE FUTURE I WILL NOT ACCEPT A CLRNC TO EXPEDITE DSCNT WHILE IN CLASS B AIRSPACE.
