Narrative:
I experienced turbulence and downdrafts that put me on extra alert, when I got close to marshall. I entered traffic pattern and decided to land runway 11. (Winds where e-se at 12-15 KTS.) on short final, maybe 10-15 ft high, the aircraft got caught in a downdraft, with the result that it nosed over while falling rapidly. I added power and elevator back-pressure, but unable to recover. The nosewheel hit the ground hard and bent at an angle backwards. After the nosewheel touched, the airplane bounced back up in the air and with already full power, flew on without any trouble. I knew that something was wrong with the nosewheel due to the sounds I heard upon impact. I returned to my base and had somebody look at my nosewheel while doing a fly-by. It was then that it was determined that the nosewheel was bent backwards. I proceeded thereafter to bethel and did an emergency landing. Runway should be lengthened and leveled, maybe even moved to a different location away from the hills.

Narrative: I EXPERIENCED TURB AND DOWNDRAFTS THAT PUT ME ON EXTRA ALERT, WHEN I GOT CLOSE TO MARSHALL. I ENTERED TFC PATTERN AND DECIDED TO LAND RWY 11. (WINDS WHERE E-SE AT 12-15 KTS.) THE NOSEWHEEL HIT THE GND HARD AND BENT AT AN ANGLE BACKWARDS. AFTER THE NOSEWHEEL TOUCHED, THE AIRPLANE BOUNCED BACK UP IN THE AIR AND WITH ALREADY FULL PWR, FLEW ON WITHOUT ANY TROUBLE. I PROCEEDED THEREAFTER TO BETHEL AND DID AN EMER LNDG. RWY SHOULD BE LENGTHENED AND LEVELED, MAYBE EVEN MOVED TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION AWAY FROM THE HILLS.
