Narrative:
On may/xx/95 I ferried an airplane from iowa to texas out of annual and no ferry permit. I sold the airplane. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated that the FAA did contact him sometime after the flight and asked if he 'knew how the aircraft got to texas.' he advised that he did not know! The aircraft was a beech bonanza model 35N. He further stated that when he contacted the FAA prior to the flight for obtaining aircraft registration numbers for the aircraft, the FAA stated that it would take 3 months. Since this was unacceptable to him, he decided to fly the aircraft without the numbers to texas.
