Narrative:
Aircraft being marshalled out of gate. Marshaller waved us off after clearing jetway. Apparent damage to left aileron was not reported to flight crew or company operations until 50 min after departure. Parking spot is too tight for aircraft to safely leave parking spot and should be realigned to more adequately and safely taxi to and from spot within the turning radius of the aircraft.
