Narrative:
Location of ids-4's in TRACON is too high causing too long of a distraction from radar scope/aircraft. Solution move ids- 4's one panel lower. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: FAA supervisor said the ids-4 is the information display system at the radar position. This gives the controller the runway in use and WX and pertinent NOTAMS.
