Narrative:

Nose gear pin left in nose after overnight maintenance check. Walk around was completed, nose pin is very difficult to see, there was no flag attached to pin. 2 other pins were observed in pin holder. Third hole was covered by life preserver flap. Nose gear would not retract after takeoff. Returned. Removed pin.

Title: MDT FLC DEPARTS WITH NOSE GEAR PIN IN PLACE.

Narrative: NOSE GEAR PIN LEFT IN NOSE AFTER OVERNIGHT MAINT CHK. WALK AROUND WAS COMPLETED, NOSE PIN IS VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE, THERE WAS NO FLAG ATTACHED TO PIN. 2 OTHER PINS WERE OBSERVED IN PIN HOLDER. THIRD HOLE WAS COVERED BY LIFE PRESERVER FLAP. NOSE GEAR WOULD NOT RETRACT AFTER TKOF. RETURNED. REMOVED PIN.
