Narrative:
Missed 6000 ft clearance limit by first officer due to a family crisis that affected quality of performance. Captain and first officer noticed error at approximately the same time and initiated a descent at the same time the controller noticed error. Controller reclred us to higher altitude. Rest of flight continued uneventful. Since conflict was caused due to first officer's family problem he was given a leave of absence for 2 weeks to correct family problems.
