Narrative:
On climb out from pdx, got busy climbing through 18000 ft while checking on cruise altitude turbulence and neglected to finish climb check and did not reset altimeter to 29.92. After leveling at 33000 ft (indicated), ZSE advised that we indicated 300 ft low. We reset to 29.92 and corrected to correct altitude. No conflict occurred. Situation occurred due to a distraction on both pilots' part when we would have normally done the climb check and reset altimeters.

Title: FLC FAILS TO SET 29.92 IN THEIR ALTIMETER CLBING THROUGH FL180 RESULTING IN A 300 FT LOW LEVEL OFF. ATC QUESTIONED THEIR ALT ALERTING THE PLTS TO THEIR OVERSIGHT.
Narrative: ON CLBOUT FROM PDX, GOT BUSY CLBING THROUGH 18000 FT WHILE CHKING ON CRUISE ALT TURB AND NEGLECTED TO FINISH CLB CHK AND DID NOT RESET ALTIMETER TO 29.92. AFTER LEVELING AT 33000 FT (INDICATED), ZSE ADVISED THAT WE INDICATED 300 FT LOW. WE RESET TO 29.92 AND CORRECTED TO CORRECT ALT. NO CONFLICT OCCURRED. SIT OCCURRED DUE TO A DISTR ON BOTH PLTS' PART WHEN WE WOULD HAVE NORMALLY DONE THE CLB CHK AND RESET ALTIMETERS.
