Narrative:

During landing roll, an air carrier X B737 crossed the runway in front of us. We were at approximately 100 KIAS and had just started to apply brakes with spdbrakes and thrust reversers already deployed. It was the first officer's leg but I took control of the aircraft and applied brakes a bit more intensely. We slowed rapidly. The crossing occurred several thousand ft down the runway and we were at taxi speed by the time we arrived at his crossing taxiway. He stopped after crossing and we proceeded to the next exit. I called tower on the telephone and was told they were checking the tapes but they thought he had been told to hold short of our runway.
