Narrative:

Aircraft was taxied off edge of taxiway (right main landing gear and nose gear after landing). Taxi lights of another aircraft were pointed at us. Tower asked us to expedite off the runway. As we began the turn to the right, I could not see green centerline taxiway lights. As the aircraft swung to the right, I could see that the nose was nearer to the edge than I thought it to be. At that moment, the first officer warned me loudly that we were going onto the grass. I turned to the left immediately, but the aircraft did not respond. The right main landing gear had departed the hard surface, as had the nose gear. Assistance was requested from ground control. Passenger egressed using stairs. No reports of injury or aircraft damage.
