Narrative:

We executed a missed approach at roa, va. While on vectors for another approach by ATC, we received a terrain warning by the GPWS. We immediately executed a CFIT maneuver. While in the climb, we reported to ATC we were in a climb and the reason why. ATC stopped us at 6000 ft and assured us the mountain tops in the area were 4000 ft. Local altimeter setting at the time was 29.58. No other reported traffic was in the area.
