Narrative:
On takeoff from reno's runway 16R, we encountered birds, ingesting 1 or more of them into the #1 engine, causing it to fail. We then uneventfully returned to the airport and landed on runway 16L. Coordination with ATC and ground crews was very good and helpful.

Title: FLC OF AN MLG RETURNED TO LAND AFTER #1 ENG FAILED DUE TO A BIRD INGESTION.
Narrative: ON TKOF FROM RENO'S RWY 16R, WE ENCOUNTERED BIRDS, INGESTING 1 OR MORE OF THEM INTO THE #1 ENG, CAUSING IT TO FAIL. WE THEN UNEVENTFULLY RETURNED TO THE ARPT AND LANDED ON RWY 16L. COORD WITH ATC AND GND CREWS WAS VERY GOOD AND HELPFUL.
