Narrative:

Flying jammn approach to slc for second time. Level at 13000 ft between gronk and spiek. Controller advised we were descending out of 13000 ft. We were to maintain 13000 ft until spiek. We did. This chart is too complicated. Should be 2 separate charts, 1 for landing south and 1 for landing north. Efforts should also be made to reduce complexity. Especially difficult during turbulence when charts are more difficult to read.

Title: AN ACR FLC, IN TURB, IS TOLD BY THE APCH CTLR THAT THEY ARE TO MAINTAIN 13000 FT UNTIL PASSING SPIEK ON THE JAMMN 1 STAR. THE FLC CLAIMS THAT THEY WERE AT 13000 FT, BUT COMPLAINS THAT THE STAR CHART IS STILL TOO COMPLICATED TO FOLLOW, PARTICULARLY WHEN ENCOUNTERING TURB.

Narrative: FLYING JAMMN APCH TO SLC FOR SECOND TIME. LEVEL AT 13000 FT BTWN GRONK AND SPIEK. CTLR ADVISED WE WERE DSNDING OUT OF 13000 FT. WE WERE TO MAINTAIN 13000 FT UNTIL SPIEK. WE DID. THIS CHART IS TOO COMPLICATED. SHOULD BE 2 SEPARATE CHARTS, 1 FOR LNDG S AND 1 FOR LNDG N. EFFORTS SHOULD ALSO BE MADE TO REDUCE COMPLEXITY. ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT DURING TURB WHEN CHARTS ARE MORE DIFFICULT TO READ.
