Narrative:
We landed at mci runway 1L, temperature was 36 degrees, and wind was 290 degrees at 20 KTS gusting to 42 KTS. Landing uneventful, all turnoffs were closed, we were told to exit at end of runway. Upon turning off at the end, the wind blew us over (unforecasted ice on the taxiway) off onto the unimproved surface. We called our operations and airport trucks to help evaluate the outside aircraft condition, and then arranged for passenger transportation to the terminal via bus. The aircraft was MEL'ed by maintenance later that night.

Title: CAPT OF AN MLG TAXIED ONTO UNFORECAST ICE WHILE EXITING THE RWY. THE COMBINATION OF THE ICE AND THE WIND CONTRIBUTED TO THE ACFT'S TXWY EXCURSION. PAX WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE TERMINAL AND ITEMS ON THE ACFT WERE LATER PLACED ON MEL BY MAINT. ACFT DAMAGED.
