When initially cleared for the lda, we asked if we were ahead or behind the traffic for runway 28L. Approach said we would be about abeam. He slowed us when we said we were to be staggered on the approach.

Title: SFO LDA APCH EVALUATION. RPTR QUESTIONS ATC ABOUT SPACING BTWN PARALLEL TFC AND ADVISES CTLR THAT STAGGERED SEPARATION SHOULD BE USED.
