Narrative:
We were arriving on the landr 1 when we were reclred to the sayge 1. This caused some confusion because at first we couldn't locate the plate for the sayge 1. As it turned out, the sayge 1 is listed under the landr 1 heading on the 10-2A plate which we already had out. I believe den is the only airport that lists 2 different arrs on the same plate. This makes the plate crowded and easy to confuse the routes as in our case, when we were given a crossing altitude, which we didn't hear and do not believe we read back. We were at FL260. When we reached the bod (beginning of descent) point the captain asked me to call and ask if we could expect sayge at 17000 ft, as published. The controller replied with what I thought was a plan to cross dunny at 19000 ft. As we approached dunny, the captain called and asked when we would be able to get lower. There were several other aircraft on the frequency and we thought he might have forgotten about us. At that point the misunderstanding was corrected and we were reclred to descend to FL190 without the crossing.

Title: FLC RPT ON CONFUSION REGARDING STAR LOCATION IN MANUAL AFTER AMENDED CLRNC RTE CHANGE.
Narrative: WE WERE ARRIVING ON THE LANDR 1 WHEN WE WERE RECLRED TO THE SAYGE 1. I BELIEVE DEN IS THE ONLY ARPT THAT LISTS 2 DIFFERENT ARRS ON THE SAME PLATE. THIS MAKES THE PLATE CROWDED AND EASY TO CONFUSE THE ROUTES AS IN OUR CASE, WHEN WE WERE GIVEN A XING ALT, WHICH WE DIDN'T HEAR AND DO NOT BELIEVE WE READ BACK. WE WERE AT FL260. WHEN WE REACHED THE BOD (BEGINNING OF DSCNT) POINT THE CAPT ASKED ME TO CALL AND ASK IF WE COULD EXPECT SAYGE AT 17000 FT, AS PUBLISHED. THE CTLR REPLIED WITH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS A PLAN TO CROSS DUNNY AT 19000 FT. AS WE APCHED DUNNY, THE CAPT CALLED AND ASKED WHEN WE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET LOWER. THERE WERE SEVERAL OTHER ACFT ON THE FREQ AND WE THOUGHT HE MIGHT HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT US. AT THAT POINT THE MISUNDERSTANDING WAS CORRECTED AND WE WERE RECLRED TO DSND TO FL190 WITHOUT THE XING.
