Narrative:
The likelihood of aircraft modifications to have visual or aural alerts warning of spoiler extended condition is probably nil. I suggest we adopt a crew call whenever spoilers are manually extended. Spoilers out, boards up, speed brake extended or similar call. This would keep PNF in the loop and would be a reminder of airfoil condition. Spoilers in, boards stowed, speed brake retracted or similar call would be used after use. If this suggestion is already underway, please so state. If not, please put at the top of the heap for immediate consideration.

Title: B757 SPD BRAKE SPOILER REMINDER, SUGGESTED OPERATIONAL PROC TO INCLUDE CALLOUTS ANY TIME THE SPD BRAKES ARE EXTENDED OR RETRACTED.
Narrative: THE LIKELIHOOD OF ACFT MODIFICATIONS TO HAVE VISUAL OR AURAL ALERTS WARNING OF SPOILER EXTENDED CONDITION IS PROBABLY NIL. I SUGGEST WE ADOPT A CREW CALL WHENEVER SPOILERS ARE MANUALLY EXTENDED. SPOILERS OUT, BOARDS UP, SPD BRAKE EXTENDED OR SIMILAR CALL. THIS WOULD KEEP PNF IN THE LOOP AND WOULD BE A REMINDER OF AIRFOIL CONDITION. SPOILERS IN, BOARDS STOWED, SPD BRAKE RETRACTED OR SIMILAR CALL WOULD BE USED AFTER USE. IF THIS SUGGESTION IS ALREADY UNDERWAY, PLEASE SO STATE. IF NOT, PLEASE PUT AT THE TOP OF THE HEAP FOR IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION.
