Narrative:
Level at 11000 ft MSL, heading 295 degrees, 210 KIAS, on scy 280/20. At about XA50Z we received an RA descend. The red traffic target was approximately 11 O'clock at 4 1/2 mi level at 11000 ft MSL. We did not get a TA. We started a descent to the green arc. Approach control was talking to another aircraft at the time. At the end of that transmission, approach gave us a descent to 5000 ft MSL and a heading 280 degrees. With my response, I said we had started a descent due to an RA. The traffic target disappeared when we were approximately 300 ft below it. We did not see any aircraft corresponding to the RA.

Title: FLC OF AN LGT STARTED TO DSND IN RESPONSE TO A TCASII RA WHEN ATC ISSUED DSCNT INSTRUCTIONS WHICH CLRED THE TCASII TARGET WITHIN 300 FT AND 4 PT 5 MI.
Narrative: LEVEL AT 11000 FT MSL, HDG 295 DEGS, 210 KIAS, ON SCY 280/20. AT ABOUT XA50Z WE RECEIVED AN RA DSND. THE RED TFC TARGET WAS APPROX 11 O'CLOCK AT 4 1/2 MI LEVEL AT 11000 FT MSL. WE DID NOT GET A TA. WE STARTED A DSCNT TO THE GREEN ARC. APCH CTL WAS TALKING TO ANOTHER ACFT AT THE TIME. AT THE END OF THAT XMISSION, APCH GAVE US A DSCNT TO 5000 FT MSL AND A HDG 280 DEGS. WITH MY RESPONSE, I SAID WE HAD STARTED A DSCNT DUE TO AN RA. THE TFC TARGET DISAPPEARED WHEN WE WERE APPROX 300 FT BELOW IT. WE DID NOT SEE ANY ACFT CORRESPONDING TO THE RA.
