Narrative:
After departing gate for takeoff, passenger count was out of limits with final weight manifest. We were unable to contact company by any radio means. Captain elected to taxi back and flash landing lights at personnel who were on ramp working other aircraft. Captain taxied onto ramp astraddle flush mounted taxiway lights and set brakes on top of them. Once contact was established with company, captain elected to do a 180 degree turn to the right to reintercept the taxiway. This was through another row of blue taxiway lights. Although there were no physical barriers to this taxi route, I felt that disregarding ICAO taxiway markers is a bad precedent to set. I protested to the captain throughout the maneuver.
