Narrative:
While on a vector to intercept the oak 331 degree radial for the bsr arrival to sfo, VOR capture started an early turn for the radial. This turn not detected by myself because of a not thorough enough xchk of a highly competent first officer. I had sfo set on my side, and just never checked his HSI.
