Narrative:
North of las vegas, cleared direct to bty VOR. Captain went aft to latrine. Told first officer 'FL310, direct to bty.' had to wait for passenger using latrine. When I returned, center told us we were passing 7 mi east of bty. Did not indicate that we had violated restr airspace (R4808). Poor coordination between captain and first officer.

Narrative: N OF LAS VEGAS, CLRED DIRECT TO BTY VOR. CAPT WENT AFT TO LATRINE. TOLD FO 'FL310, DIRECT TO BTY.' HAD TO WAIT FOR PAX USING LATRINE. WHEN I RETURNED, CTR TOLD US WE WERE PASSING 7 MI E OF BTY. DID NOT INDICATE THAT WE HAD VIOLATED RESTR AIRSPACE (R4808). POOR COORD BTWN CAPT AND FO.
